SICK

If i didn't have the Shark Scope to back this up i would be called a liar. 80 games on this new platform, 44% ROI, YEP 44%, and the magic $500 mark has been achieved. With the roll on $400 i was hasty to push push push and entered 2X$10 heads up, 1X$10;5 seater STT and 1X$10 20 seater STT. I won them all - so as i am writing this i am pretty pleased with the remarkable run of results and the possibility that the target of $10,000 (a long way too go) might just be possible.

I am due a big swing soon though i suppose and it would be shitty if this coincided with a move up in stakes but that is the next step.

I think i need to set myself some rules for the challenge. Scope says total profit $508, the actual account holds $740 - big disparity - this is due to a $50 bonus being cleared, a run on the cash tables (.50 / $1) heads up cash - i sat down with $100 (25% of the roll at the time) and destroyed some chimp. I had watched him for about half an hour and could not stop myself from playing him. NOW, two things, i should never have sat down with %25 of my roll on a cash table - NOT THE FUCKING POINT OF THIS! and also can i count bonus payments and cash play to the roll?

Need some rules - and also a excel spreadsheeeeet thing to start tracking it all properly. I am off to the betfair forum to ask for one :)
Oh yeah did i say 44% ROI Fooooooooooooooooook me!

SHIP IT

This is the bad boy Sharko Scopos states - all finned up and rocking on a $388 roll! CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

FINTASTIC

70 games played on the new tres GOLDEN account and a fin on sharkscope has been achieved!

Serious progress has been made and with an ROI of 37% i have built the roll up to $405. This has been by playing all sorts of MTTS and heads up but at the very comfortable $10 stake. Now, i am not the greatest player on the planet; far from it, but i am absolutely dicking the tables and am so suprised at the lack of quality on the tables. Most site's players' have improved in quality but this site seems to be stuck in the dark ages: Bonus. I have been playing poker for about 5-6 years - pretty hard too, mainly smallish stakes (less than $100) buy-ins and a few live comps at casinos all over the place. At one point i was playing about 30 hours + a week and home games on top and doing pretty well - getting about a grand a month out of the game. Then, at 25 years old i got offered a job in London as an odds compiler - pretty much my dream job so i wasn't going to pass it up. A result of that is my pokerplaying days/hours have reduced to about 10 hours a week. I have a grand plan though - with time on my side i am going to learn the game for the next few years and before i turn 30 take a year out of the rat race and travel the world playing poker. If i succeed, then that's great - if i fuck up - then i will have had the time of my life, no regrets, and a job i can fall back on.

Right, enough about me. I am off to spin this bank up a bit. First stage of task is the $500 mark and we are not too far off!

Stats:
So 300+ games into the $50 - %10k challenge and some ups and downs.

Time for a stat review.
Well, here they are on Sharkscope - well they were until the fooker didn't import properly :(. Things looking ok at the moment. I cheated on the Cypto account by depositing another $100 when shit hit the fan, and the Stars account is rigged – the SUPER TILT form remark is proof of this as I don’t tilt :) . That account, and the $42 left in it was withdrawn to keep the challenge going and moved to Ongame, where even a 23% ROI puts me on Super Tilt – the cheeky cunts. I will keep the records on ‘scope for as long as possible but when the fin comes they will be off. The roll stands at $239, and no playing out the roll, so all good!

Playing at these crap stakes is not giving me the buzz, but the challenge is and I am determined to get to $10k.

Playing a bit tomorrow and this weekend so will try and keep the blog and bank rolling onwards and upwards.

ROLL = $239 - long way to go :)

Hello FEEEEEEEEESH :)

This is the third attempt on a new platform that is full of feeesh. I took the remaining $40 out of Stars and put it in this new golden account. My results have been pretty amazing; sticking mainly to $10 buy-ins I have played shit loads of heads ups, 10,20 and 30 player STT’s and a few MTT’s with 500+ players. Without sounding like a cocky fucka the standard of play is woeful and I am going into every game at these pussy stakes with confidence. I suppose the time is now to up stakes. If I want to get to $10k from $50 I cannot play $10 buy-ins, especially Heads-ups, even if I win 70% of games it’ll be 2010 before I hit $10k pmsl. The thing is I am in no rush, and I am an advocate of the motto "find your stakes and beat it". So I am at a bit of a crossroad; the feesh swim in the $10 games and I should perhaps take the easy money? Be interesting to hear what others think. My game is good enough to play anything up to a $100 buy-in BUT the idea is to keep the bankroll intact, playing $10-$30 games until I hit $2k.

Second Attempt you Muppet

Ok, second attempt at making $10k from $50. Opened a Poker Stars account and started to play $5-$10 STT’s. All was going swimmingly until I got a bit cocky. I had been running good and in my haste to hit the $1k mark I jumped up stakes really quickly. Lesson learnt. Playing $50 buy-ins with a $300 roll is risky when the variance monster decides to invite himself to the party. I tilted big-time after a couple of beats and very nearly did the whole roll. I knew I had a rigged account :) after a ridiculous suckout cost me $100. It seemed that as soon I had cleared the bonus I had to start losing every pot. Before it all went tits-up and the roll lost I withdrew the last $40, now this is a pikey move in the extreme. If you are on tilt do it properly son!!!! The task now was to find a new platform, less rigged, and build up again. I got a tip-off from a workmate about a site with loads of feeeeeesh :).

Shitty Death Update

Ok, long time no speak. So why the vanishing act? To be honest I have been on a few holidays and working hard in the mean time. I have only been getting, say 10 hours a week for poker and it didn’t seem worth blogging. Betfair poker has a new platform and it is utter wank. I hate it. I had been offered a decent enough rake back deal from them so I thought I would test it for a bit but couldn’t get used to it. I started betting more on sports because I had money in a betfair account that was not being spent on poker. After a good punting run, probably the best of my life, it all went pete tong when for no apparent reasons I was betting shit loads on sports for a laugh. Having a grand on the NBA match and then going to bed before it started smacked of WANKER mode so I stopped. I wanted to learn bankroll management, after reading others’ woes. The Bluescouse blog shows you how not to do this and other players I know have managed to spunk $5k-$10k in a day playing well out of their roll. I had this much to lose and thought about playing a bit of $5-$10 cash but cash is not my game baby. I had a feeling I would do the lot and this is not a good way of going into any game. So, I put the poker/betting roll into the bank and have it as a deposit for a house or a few snowboarding holidays (Whistler 20008) when the time comes.

So, what now? Well, I thought I would start a $50 to $10,000 challenge. Original? No Fucking Way – but I don’t give a shit. I hadn’t got a platform to play on so popped over to a Crypto site to start the journey.

Starting with $50 I began to play $5 and $10 STT’s. I had built it up to $100 and then I went and played out of the roll – the graph below shows what a monumental fuckup I made in the space of 10 games and no cashes. I even put another $100 in the account at one point and built it up to $240 after caning the $5 and $10 STT’s. I then started to feel like a dirty fucka because the idea was not to deposit $100 when you make a mistake. The Crypto account was no good for the task. I had cheated by depositing so even though profit was showing I had to start again.

ITS ALL ABOUT BANKROLL management you gimp!
